A New Year

Happy New Year!! Wow, it's hard to believe another year is behind us. This time last year, Steve had just left for 7 weeks of WTC training at Ft. Sill in Oklahoma ... his first trip of what would end up being about 5 months away in 2009. Saylor and I were at home trying to find our new routine with Daddy gone and Saylor in a new school. So much has changed since then...Steve's active-duty AGR position at Buckley AFB, my job at Proven Systems, and, of course, the addition of our little son, Bohdy. Compared to all the change and uncertainty we faced last year, 2010 seems so calm and stable thus far. When Bohdy was in the hospital I felt like I never saw my house. If I wasn't at work or shuffling Saylor around I was at the hospital. Now Bohdy and I are pretty much house-bound with the exception of his occasional doctor's appointments and when we drop off or pick up Saylor from school, though even then we get "curbside service" by the school staff so that Bohdy never has to get out of the car. With subzero temps outdoors, I'm so thankful to be snuggled indoors with my baby boy!! I've been working 5 to 6 hours each weekday, which is a nice distraction from house work, though hard at times since Bohdy thinks being held is a constant requirement. I think the little guy has earned that right!

Since Bohdy's homecoming we've enjoyed visits from lots of friends and family: Aunt Jenn; Nana & Papa; Gramma Carol & Bob; Tonie & Nate; "Aunt Suzanne"; Grandad Jerome; Grandad Grady; "Aunt Kirsten"; Amy, Jeff & Rocco Feriozzi; Grams & Gramps; and Seth, Jamie & Addison Mager. It's fun to show off our BIG boy, who by the way was 6 pounds, 2.5 ounces at his Jan. 5th doctor's appointment. Even more shocking to me was that he was 19 3/4 inches long ... he's grown 5 inches!! I keep picturing a 6-inch sandwich at Subway and thinking that Bohdy has almost grown that much!! Amazing!!

My camera has been giving me issues ... some days it works, other days it doesn't, so I missed getting pictures of all our visitors. Here are a few I managed to capture ... and a few of Mr. B just hanging out.
