If you know our family personally, you know our beautiful story. You know that I (Amy) woke up on October 9th, 2009, with no plans to have a baby that day. My due date wasn't until December 15th. But there was a nagging voice in my head that said "something isn't right, the baby isn't moving."That voice led me to my doctor, who sent me to the hospital for fetal monitoring and tests. By 8:00 that night, I was being prepped for an emergency c-section. The doctors were very honest; they told us they weren't God, they were just doctors. They couldn't guarantee our baby would survive or be normal if he did. But they felt an early delivery was our baby's best chance.
Bohdy was born at 8:41p.m. weighing 2 pounds 6 ounces and measuring 14.75 inches long. He immediately received Surfactant for his lungs and was intubated. He was transferred to the neonatal intensive care unit, where we all would call home for the next 57 days.
The incredible care Bohdy received in the Poudre Valley Hospital NICU, including access to the latest research and technology related to premature infant care, helped our little son survive and thrive. At four months old, he is a healthy 8 pounds and melts our hearts daily with his smiles and other milestones.
Touched by our personal experience with prematurity, we've felt compelled to give back in any way we can. The March of Dimes is focused on helping prevent premature births, birth defects and infant mortality. We know that past March for Babies events raised funds for research and technology that helped save Bohdy's life. We are walking to give other babies the same gift of life that Bohdy was given.

Aunt Jenn is so proud of you Bohdy, I'm not only going to help raise money for this great organization, but I'm going to donate and walk in your honor, you are truly my little MIRACLE! Love ya
