Ouch!

Poor Bohdy has had his fair share of "owies" this week. He got circumcised on Saturday, got four shots in his leg on Monday and got a nasty diaper rash. The nurses have been trying to treat the diaper rash by air drying his little booty. They put him on his tummy, bare bum in the air and rigged up an oxygen hose inside a paper cup pointed at his chapped bottom. It's very "MacGyver" but it's working!

About 15 minutes after Bohdy's shots (vaccinations and Synagis to prevent RSV), he had a 30-second spell of apnea. That means he has to stay there for another 5 to 7 days, so we're looking at Saturday or Monday for Bohdy's homecoming. He had his "car seat challenge" yesterday. We had to rent a special car seat that accommodates 4 pounds, since most car seats are for babies that are 5 pounds or larger. For the "car seat challenge" they put Bohdy in the seat for an hour while still hooked to all his monitors and watched to make sure his oxygen, heart rate, etc., didn't drop. He passed with flying colors, sleeping through the whole thing. Good job, buddy!!
